Get to Know the Artist

Welcome to the liminal space where transitions become transformations. I'm Shannon, a soul deeply attuned to the nuances of life's in-between moments, residing amidst the dynamic tapestry of Pittsburgh, PA. While my professional roots lie in nursing, my journey extends far beyond the confines of conventional paths.

With a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Chatham University and an RN diploma from UPMC Shadyside School of Nursing, my foundation in healthcare has instilled in me a profound understanding of the liminality inherent in healing and growth. Though my current endeavors may diverge, this understanding remains a guiding force in my life..

I'm a proud mother to a brilliant, creative, kind, and bold son. Together, we navigate the spaces of forests and trails, finding solace in the whispers of the natural world.  Through volunteer work with Paws Across Pittsburgh Animal Rescue, we bridge divides and advocate for the silent voices of dogs.

In the pursuit of personal evolution, I immerse myself in Yoga and Muay Thai, where the boundaries between body and mind blur, and strength is found in the spaces between movements. In quieter moments, I weave threads of connection and contemplation through the ancient art forms of crocheting and knitting, embracing the creation and expression.

My core purpose is a commitment to advocacy, particularly within the realms of mental health and domestic violence and abuse. Guided by the belief that recovery resides in the spaces between pain and hope, I lend my voice to those navigating the threshold of transformation.

Join me as we explore the liminal landscapes of existence, where boundaries dissolve, and possibilities unfold. Together, let us navigate the thresholds of change, embracing the beauty and complexity of life's transitional spaces.

"Two roads diverged in a wood and I- I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference."

-Robert Frost
